Banahaw Dirt Riders (BDR) is an organization of motocross enthusiasts based in Lucena City . Its birth is an off-shot of the 4 th Trail Competition held in Ilasan Tayabas on April 2, 2006. What made BDR at present is the inspiration brought about by the many fun races that the members had in the past.


Let's take a look at the series of events which paved the way for the establishment of the BDR:

Motocross Races & Trail Competitions in Quezon Province

April 2, 2006
•
4th Trail Competition hosted and sponsored by Jun Nagar.
•
Race started at Ilasan, Tayabas and finished at Batis Aramin, Lucban.
•
Participated by the local riders of the BDR.
•
Winners: First place- Jefer Uri and Glenberry; Second place- Carlos Medenilla Jr. and Melvin Atienza; Third place- Rodel Birastigue and Mark.
•
It is in this day that the Banahaw Dirt Riders (BDR) came in existence through the initiative of Jun Nagar and Eric Sia.
•
It was attended by 30 riders from Lucena, Tayabas and Pagbilao, Quezon.
•
The first set of officers were:
    President: Eric Sia
V-Pres: Ricky Reyes
Secretary: Jun Nagar
Treasurer: Debet Ariles
Auditor: Ariel Sales
February 2005
•
3rd Trail Competition sponsored by Jun Nagar (Race Boss) and Jovie Salvacion (Race Coordinator).
•
Race started at Ilasan, Tayabas and finished at Nagsinamo, Lucban.
September 8, 2002
•Invitational - sponsored by Caltex and MRS Cycle Parts
•
Featured riders were Jack Ryan Loresca, Rommel Alvos, Jun Nagar, Beech Brothers, Cesar Dural, Owen De Mesa, Jun Alcantara and Arnel Diaz.
1989
•
2nd Trail Competition held at University Site sponsored by Dirtsting.
•
Race started at the Gymnasium and finished at Nagsinamo, Lucban.
August 20, 1988
•
1st Dirtsting Motocross held at Brgy. Kanlurang Mayao.
•
First placer was Jun Nagar for Beginner and Novice.
•
Riders were Johnny Garcia, Dr. Francisco Rubio, Cesar Dural, Boy Escueta and Danny “Bakal” Molera.
December 1982
•
Local – Invitational Motocross race held at Pleasantville Subdivision organized by Ramon Lerio.
•
Riders were Jun Nagar, Ramon Lerio, Ronald Alvos and Johnny Pavellano

1981

•
National race held at Perez Park (now BSP Building ) organized by Ramon Lerio and sponsored by the Cycle Sports and Safety Association of the Philippines (CySSAP).
•
Riders were Jolet Jao, Jovie Saulog, Rene Lachica and Totoy Lachica.
•
Featuring Butch and Bikes.
1976
•
Held at Iyam, Quezon Provincial High School (now Quezon National High School sponsored by Sarsi.
•
Riders were from Team Laog and Dolan Loresca.
October 1976
•
First Race held at Dalahican Road , Red-V, Lucena City sponsored by the National Motocross Association of the Philippines (NAMAP).
•
Riders were Jackie Enrile, Butch Chase and Rene Lachica.

To date, BDR has approximately 70 members.
