The 2009 NAMSSA Philippine Supercross Championship winds up with its 9th and pre ultimate round at the Speedworld Circuit in SM Bicutan, Paranaque City on November 22. The change in schedule is a result of the cancellation of the Lanao del Norte leg originally scheduled on the same date.
The annual champions in the various classes will be determined in the one-day event that will also serve as the final tune-up run for the members of the Philippine supercross team that will be competing in the final round of the 2009 FIM Asian Championship Series slated at the Reem Internaitonal Circuit, in Al Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on December 5, 2009.
The pre final round is expected to be action-packed with the titles in several categories still up for grabs with the top contenders in various classes separated by the slimmest of margins in the championship scoreboard.
The riders expected to show muscle in the event are the Riyadh bound and reigning Motocross Rider of the Year
Kenneth San Andres and the upcoming ace rider from Iriga, Bicol
Jan Carlo Relosa. The two riders started out their careers as peewee and junior riders in the same series have evolved into international caliber riders, a proof of the effectiveness of NAMSSA’s programs for the development of budding riding talents.
