Monday, November 23, 2009 Riyadh-bound Philippine motocross team standouts Kenneth San Andres and Jan Carlo Rellosa routed their rivals in all motos of the Pro Open and Pro 125 classes during the penultimate round of the 2009 NAMSSA National Supercross Series held at the Speedworld Race Track in SM City Bicutan last Sunday.
The tandem appeared to be in top form and ready to take on the bigger challenge that await them in the final round of the 2009 FIM Asian Motocross Series scheduled in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on December 5. San Andres and Rellosa regaled the Sunday crowd with quadruple jumps and precision maneuvers on the technical and twisty Speedworld turf built in compliance with FIM standards to chalk up 1-2 finishes in all motos of the Pro Open and Pro 125 classes . Jan Carlo’s younger sibling Noynoy prevailed over the rest of the field of Intermediate riders who stepped up the Pro classes. The other winners were Jenzen Manuel in the Intermediate class, Patrick Orbe in Novice Open, Joseph Penaso in Local Open, Ryan Magalona in Local Enduro, Derrick Itchon in Beginner Production, Kenneth Pumaren in the Executive class, Roman Llorente in the Veterans class, J acob Orbe in Junior 85, Moymoy Flores in Junior 65, Jhetrick Marquez in Junior 50 and Jason Sarmiento in the Underbone class. The event sponsored by SM Prime Holdings and Monark Caterpillar served as the final tune-up race for San Andres and Rellosa for the Saudi event.
