MXDENZKI has been providing local and international motocross riders and lovers with information and updates on one of the fastest-rising sports in the world today. Site statistics reveal that people from 85 countries and 650 cities world-wide have visited the site.

A most recent site viewer, however, added another facet to the site management’s earnest desire and modest effort to be of utmost service to its patrons in the various parts of the country and the world.

Darren Sheppard, the father of an Australian kid rider who will compete in the upcoming Asian MX Championship, came across the site while surfing the net.

Darren contacted us by sending an e-mail through our website. His 12-year-old son Jake Sheppard will be seeing action in the continental race which will be hosted by the Philippines this September 26 and 27.

The elder Sheppard said they are looking for a motorcycle to be rented out during the race. We offered our help and began contacting our friends. Jay Lacnit of Sel-J Sports offered one of their motorcycles for free. Pepo Rubi of Quickflight offered to provide them racing jersey.

Jake Sheppard was born on May 31, 1997 and started racing when he was just an 8-year-old lad in December 2005.  Jake belongs to the Goulburn Valley Junior Motorcycle Club Inc. and hails from Shepparton, Victoria, Australia.
Jake, according to his father, started racing on a KTM 65. After winning and placing in a number of events in 2006, Jake was re-graded to “B” grade in December that year. For season 2007, Jake raced both a KTM 65sx and a KTM 85sx and joined the AJ’s Motorcycles Race Team. Jake’s results for 2007 were 2nd place in the Northern Region MX series over 5 rounds, 1st place in the Club Championships 2007 and a number of other podium finishes.

Jake was again re-graded up to “A” grade in June 2007. In season 2008, Jake garnered back to back wins as well as many podium finishes by capturing anew the 1st place in the Club Championships. The current year has been a transition period for Jake who moved up to Big Wheel and to an older age group, the 12 to 16 years category. Jake has been steadily moving up with his 4th, 5th and a few 3rd placings.’

Darren Sheppard has been happy with the ties that he has established with us. He wrote:

“It has been awesome that only 2 months ago we sent an email to MXDenzki enquiring about watching some motocross in Philippines and maybe a practice ride, while we are there on holidays. From this and quite few more emails between Denden and ourselves it has turned into Jake racing at the 2009 Asian Supercross Championships in Bicutan. Having SEL-J offer to supply Jake with a Honda CRF150R is more than we could expect, together now with Quickflight coming on board the excitement here is building into something big. We have met so many people electronically in your MX Industry including Macky from NAMSSA, Denden from MXDenzki, Jay from SEL-J and now Quickflight. All of you guys in the Philippines have been so helpful with the organizing of this entry and we can’t wait to meet you all in person and shake your hands. Jake races a KTM85 in Australia and after hearing that we got the bike to ride over there, he has now been training on friends CRF150R after school each Wednesday night, to get himself used to the bike ready for the Asian Championship. He seems to have taken to the 4 stroke quite well.”

We at mxdenzki are humbled by this development. It feels so humbling that such a connection has been established via the net. This only means that the website management and staff ought to do more for mxdenzki to be of continuous and relevant service to all motocross riders and motocross lovers all over the world.###
