| Clianna Patricia "Pia" Legaspi Gabriel March 19, 1998 San Agustin Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija |
Clianna, fondly known as Pia is a very energetic and a very adventurous young lady especially on extreme sports. She was 4 years old when she started riding a motorcycle. Riding a Yamaha PeeWee 50cc in her 1st motocross race in 2002 she was the darling of the crowd because of her amazing skill in riding a dirt bike given that she is just a little girl and her perseverance in racing even if she is the only girl among the competitors. Her interest and enthusiasm in riding a dirt bike arose from the influence of her father, Clifford Gabriel, being a motocross rider himself at the time Pia started. With his patience and support, he taught her the basics of motocross riding. For 2 years PIA participated in various races with her father where she began to show talent for the sport. In 2004 Pia’s career was temporarily stopped as her father took a premature end on his career in motocross racing. She started racing once again in 2006 with the support of her parents. Riding her PeeWee 50cc motorcycle, again she raced in various towns and entered NAMSSA races. Shortly afterwards, she began racing on 65cc. Her shift from 50cc to 65cc was another step to her fantastic career ahead. Presently, she's the only active girl motocross rider in the country as of today. |
